We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team and manage procurement activities, vendor relationships, purchasing processes, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate must have strong procurement experience, excellent negotiation skills, and preferably a background in the oil & gas sector.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Supplier Selection: Research and identify potential vendors, obtain and compare quotations, and select reliable suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
  • Purchase Order Management: Review internal purchase requisitions, prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs), and monitor them throughout the procure to pay cycle while ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Order Tracking & Expediting: Monitor outstanding orders, coordinate with suppliers, and warehouse teams, follow up on deliveries, and resolve delivery delays, invoice discrepancies, and other procurement-related issues.
  • Inventory Coordination: Monitor stock requirements and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and evaluate vendor performance to ensure consistent quality, service, and timely delivery.

 

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or contracting, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • ERP Knowledge: Proficiency in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and Odoo.
  • MS Office: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to achieve cost effective agreements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Organization: Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
